| Nebraska ended their 2000 season on a positive note, demolishing Northwestern, 66-17, in front of 60,000+ at the Sylvania Alamo Bowl in San Antonio, TX, on December 30. Nebraska set many records in the game, both individually, and as a team.
The solid victory over Northwestern enabled the Huskers to re-esatblish themselves as one of the top programs and an early favorite for the 2001 campaign, as well as make up for some of the lost expectations of the BCS Championship following losses to Oklahoma and Kansas State.
2001 looks to be an interesting season, with Notre Dame, Kansas State and Oklahoma set to vist Memorial Stadium. |
