OK, so the Rose Bowl didn't quite turn out the way the 70,000 Nebraska fans packed into the game hoped it would. In reality, NU came out flat, and Miami simply had too much speed on defense and excellent execution on offense and defeated Nebraska handily, 37-14. On a positive note, NU outscored Miami 14-3 in the second half.
On a more difficult note, the losses to Colorado and Miami are NU's first back-to-back losses in a decade, and, as in 1990, NU was beaten soundly by their two opponents, Oklahoma and Georgia Tech (the GT game was the Florida Citrus Bowl)
